Glotti privacy

Glotti adds translated captions to YouTube live streams. It does not ask you to create an account.

While captions are on, the extension records the audio of that YouTube tab in short pieces and sends each piece to Glotti's server. The server sends the audio to Deepgram to turn speech into text, and sends that text to DeepL when a translation is needed. The audio and the text are not saved after the reply comes back.

A random id for this browser is stored on your computer. Stripe processes the payment. After checkout, Glotti shows a license key. Glotti stores that key and the remaining hours on its server. Settings, the daily free-minute counter, and saved license keys stay in Chrome on this computer.

Glotti does not sell personal information. Use the support contact on the Chrome Web Store listing to ask a question about this policy.
